Shopping with Robert

So prior to leaving I had the opportunity to go grocery shopping with Robert. He hasn't shopped with me since he was little. I was trying to get some meals ready so that he and Dan would have something to eat while I was gone. While we were shopping a friend of his met up with us, her name was Lindsey. Shopping with the two of them was pretty fun. Lindsey was very helpful in finding the ingredients I needed. She even knew that table cream was used to make Alfredo sauce! I was impressed. No, I wasn't making Alfredo noodles because for those of you that know Dan doesn't like Alfredo noodles but I was making something that he does like. On the menu for him and Robert this week is Ham Carbonza, Potato Soup, Chili Dogs, Breakfast Casserole, Burritos, Fruit Dessert, Cake, and Strawberry Pie. All they have to do is work the microwave. They might miss me but at least they won't miss my cooking!

A week of training

Today I flew to Anniston, Alabama for Hazmat Training with the Center for Domestic Preparedness. I will be here for a week with hands on training for decontaminating patients. This includes going into an environment with live nerve agent. Crazy me! Anyway it is a really nice secured government training facility. DW didn't come so it might be a little boring during the evenings...... Sigh... Anyway I am here with a coworker named Sam (pictured below with Dan as we waited in the airport to leave, Me in front of the dormitory that is more like a hotel facility than a dorm, and also the lounge that is called "Recovery Zone.").
