The Best Gift

So, we recently had discussion at work about the best gift our spouse has ever given. My husband seems to top everyone when it comes to the gift department. I have been given so much over the years. The best one however, (guys you may want to pay attention here) was when he enrolled me in the bra and panty of the month club. Yes, each month I received a perfectly sized and matched sexy bra and panty appropriately themed (halloween was black, christmas was red, etc.) It also had a chocolate and scented sachet. Very nice and one which he received many benefits from too. There are other gifts that were equally creative but I don't have time or room to list them all right now. I will in the future, detail further romantic gestures (for our posterity to remember and learn by) that Dan has done. So stay tuned. Unfortunately I am not as creative as Dan when it comes to gift giving, but he is easy to please and always wants the same thing anyway. I do apply some creativity in how it is given though. Thanks Dan! I still love you after 25 years!

We watched Landon tonight while Ken and Joanne went to Burlington. We found some bubbles to play with and he loved them.

How we met.

It was a blind date. I (Vicki) had just moved to Illinois and was attending my new high school, Liberty. Dan had just broken up with his girlfriend and a mutual friend, Zanetta, thought I would make a good date since it might make his ex a little jealous to be seen with a pretty blond. She kept talking to me a bout "DW." I asked what his REAL name was and she didn't know it because that was the only thing he had ever been known as. We double dated with Zanetta and her boyfriend by attending the biggest basketball game of the year. It may have stopped there for me except Dan knew we would make a good couple and didn't stop calling until he convinced me of the same. His persistance eventually paid off for both of us and we married a year and a half later.
