Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.

The case of the wandering clothes hamper.
I have gotten used to my husband's idiosyncrasies but some things till puzzle me. Dan hates the clothes hamper. I know this to be true because his clothes never make it to it. I first noticed this many years ago and thought that maybe it just wasn't placed in a convenient place. At that time his clothes always remained in a pile near the back door. My logical conclusion was to move the clothes hamper near to the back door so he could conveniently get out of his work clothes and then drop them into the clothes hamper. However, it remained empty. I then noticed the pile of clothes appeared in the bathroom next to the shower. Once again I moved the hamper to make his life easier. This went on for several other spots. I finally gave up. My clothes hamper now stays in one spot where I can use it. Dan's current spot is to drape his clothes over a dining room chair. Sigh!!!!!

The Gallahers June 2010
I think Kendall has inherited this triat. He doesn't have just one spot though, he has several. It just makes me laugh. When I go to do the laundry, I have to search down the whole house to make sure I've gotten to every dirty clothes pile of Ken's...by the bed, the bathroom floor, the pile next to the bedroom closet, and the pile next to the laundry room door. I'm just fine with it; I think I've got all of the laundry washed, but then I find a pile that I looked over. Ah well. The things we do for love.
