Life has never been dull for us. If we aren't pushing forward with some political battles in EMS or fire then we are taking some class or reaching for some goal. So just to remind you, last year at this time we were taking a massage class. (Dan has always given excellent massages which he learned from a video we rented years ago. I, however, needed to learn a better technique. Or so Dan said. He claimed I was a "One wayer". Meaning I liked getting massages but never returned the favor. This was true. But since the class I now enjoy giving as well as receiving. Can you guess who is now the "on wayer" now?) So anyway, this year we are taking a dance class. It was advertised as ballroom dancing but last night was our first night and we learned the Foxtrot, waltz and some swing steps. I am very proud of my husband. He made it through the entire class without blowing his cork. His anger management techniques must be working, because he came close a couple of times, but managed to stay calm even though he was totally frustrated. By the end of the class I think we were finally getting to be fairly good and he was even starting to enjoy it. Stay tuned for further updates. If we get good enough I'll try to video it for you all.
On Saturday we went to see the movie Avatar. I liked it. Dan generally falls asleep during movies but he managed to watch the majority of this one. He says he liked it... but he tends to like whatever the person he is with likes. I know he is not really a movie person. What a great husband to take me anyway. (At least he didn't snore during this one.)LOL
Still working out every day at the gym. I haven't lost any weight even though people say I have. They are only being nice because the scale doesn't change for me. I am only rearranging the lbs. My muscles are definitely more toned and my clothes are loose. Dan has lost about 20 pounds. His muscles are quite nice. I feel better except for my occasional gall bladder attacks. I'm still trying to resolve that without surgery. Yep I remain the eternal optimist (most of the time.)
